Are you sure the bass was that loud during the FOTD? Seems mighty fxcking weird.
You want to hear a great Sailor->Saint check out 5-22-82 Greek Theatre. All other versions take a back seat (tho this one aint bad at all, and includes some righteous audience handclaps) ....
Probably the most magnificently effed up Stranger ever played by a long shot, though. My god.

This recording is incredible! I was at this show and it sounds like you're standing right in front of the board. Great job busting this version out. One of THE BEST dead shows that I've ever witnessed. The energy is crackling. I wept openly during the Sugaree...insane stuff! The boys were all over it on this beautiful end of summer day in central Maine.
